Henpecker Maple, a 4th Generation Farm

Since the 1960's, the Howrigan Family has been sugaring on the plot of land that Henpecker Maple Farm stands on today. What started with horses and a wood-fired evaporator has grown into a modern farm producing Pure Vermont USDA Certified Organic Maple Syrup from over 11,000 taps in beautiful Enosburg, Vermont.

Even as a young kid, Connor would help gather sap from metal buckets, and once he was tall enough to reach the taps, he would help tap the trees. As he grew, he learned how to boil and run all the sugarhouse's equipment, too.

Now, alongside his fiancée, Taylor, and their son, Benson, Connor is following his ancestor's footsteps and sugaring on the land he grew up on. Taylor brings her own childhood experiences with her father and close family friends, and together they're excited to continue this local tradition.
